I'm 18 and I was diogonised with Jaw cancer but my dentist just found it so I don't think it spread. But it feels like there's a lump in my throat I don't know if it's from being nervous or anixent but I don't smoke or drink. I just think that every night I won't wake up from my sleep so I never sleep. That's what I get for looking these things up but can someone please help me?
Anxiety doesn't help recover and it can make life a hell.
I promise you soon this will pass and you'll back and get half you copes with it
Just try calm down and tell your doctor about your anxious thoughts and feelings.
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
Best of luck
Oliver
Lump in the throat is very common with anxiety, it can last a long time and feel constant. Dealing with the anxiety itself can help, it's no surprise that you would be anxious. Always tell your Dr first though
Your dentist diagnosed you? Did she or he do a biopsy?
are you following up with another doctor?
Yeah they did a biopsy and I have to get X-rays tomorrow to see how big it is and to see how long I had it for. They just found out 3 months ago but I don't think it's bad
This is your anxiety which is normal to have when you find out about such news. Everything will be alright. I didn't even know that jaw cancer exists, how do you even get that, what did your doctor say, what were your symptoms?
Best of luck!
You usually get it if you're a smoker or drinker but I'm none of those so I don't know how I got it. And the symptoms are jaw pain and ear pain. It usually happens on one side. Thanks
3 months is an awfully long time if it were cancer before starting treatment, I wonder if wires have been crossed somewhere? Maybe they suspected cancer but have found it's not? 3 months would be unheard of I think for treatment to be delayed
