I've had this pain for months now - please help.

Hello.

I've been suffering with really bad nausea and upset stomach/stomach pains for months now and after I thought it was starting to get better I wake up feeling an achey/upset stomach that's causing really bad nausea. It's 5am and all I want to do is sleep - last week I was so bad I ended up in A&E. I wasn't eating at all nor sleeping and I had very bad stomach pains - like dull ones all over then sharp shooting pains - I've noticed after sitting upright for a while I'll get very bad badache which makes me need to lie down! I've never suffered with back ache. I have done a stool test for h.ployri just waiting for the results and have an ultra sound booked on the 7th of November. I can't keep going through this pain.. it's making my life miserable I can't do anything! All I do is sit in the house feeling sorry for myself looking at the same four walls. It's waking me up atleast every night with nausea and an upset stomach.. I get burning sensations in my stomach to.. my stomach always feels bloated and full especially after I eat - anything I eat by the way! I've completely changed my diet and cut out all junk food and fat food. Been eating fresh white meat, fish, whole grain rice and pasta, potatoes, gravy as sauce! Loads of fruit and veg! The odd packet of ready salted hula hoops (because a girl has to eat) but my diet is completely different to before I was poorly. Nothing has changed though! Doctors think I'm suffering with gastritis I'm on raniditine but don't seem to be working - obviously! 🙁

Also, I do some marijuana daily, throughout the day - sometimes it helps with the pain mostly my anxiety.

Please someone help.

Thank you

Ultrasound will help for sure. Hard to tell what it is. In my case it was a gallbladder . Similar symptoms . Ultrasound didn't show much but the gallstones. My primary care physician told me to take out the gallbladder but my Gastro said to leave it. I left it and things got worse over the time. Inflamed gallbladder caused all kinds of issues , nausea, bloating , constipation, headache back pain, abdominal pain, weight loss etc. I had a surgery after doing a HIDA scan to see if my gallbladder Was really not functioning and it proved it. Ever since the surgery I longer have any issues. Thanks god. You are doing the right thing. Listen to your body and keep looking for answers until you figure it out. No one knows it better than you. It helped me as I pushed to get colonoscopies, blood work done etc. best of luck to you

Did they check your liver?  See how your liver enzymes are.  Also take probiotics, chamomile tea, peppermint tea, ginger tea....natural remedies.  Ask to see a GI specialist.  You may have IBS.

Wait to see what the tests show.  Do you have bowel habit changes?  If you do, it may be IBS.  Cut out the substances you are smoking; they may be causing irritation to your gut.
