It appears to be smegma, but I wash under my glans everyday in the shower, with soap, and have been doing so for the past year or so (when I first realised it was there). I'm worrying about what it could be and how can I possibly get rid of it? I'm starting to worry that it might affect me and limit my experiences...

If you are referring to the tiny creamy white clusters of lumps and bumps under the foreskin, they are Fordyce spots. Nothing to worry about, no treatment necessary so please just get on with living!
