you need to call your doc and ask for something asap. They should have given you discharge instructions etc. and pain meds. I am so sorry you are suffering (my husband had this and I know it is the most painful thing EVER) but you need to speak up and get some relief! Good luck and God bless
Thank you so much... They only gave me 10 pills... Witch makes me nervous cause the pills they gave me don't Evan work..... Any ideas on what to eat?? Or drink
10 days is a long time. If you have left with pain (and live in the U.S.) you likely need to make an appointment with your specialist and/or your family doctor. With pain management there is a law requiring you to sign off before many/most doctors give you a script for pain meds. I am taking Norco 5 when pain occurs and ZenPeP (25000 a day) which are pancreas enzymes. When the pain gets much worse I double up (per by script). As for eating when pain begins (I have chronic pancreatitis and have had a resection) I usually revert to protein shakes and a lot of rest. Hope this helps.
no acohol is one thing to remember and they say low fat things, maybe some smoothies ?
I had the same thing, 13 days in the hospital, last 4 on a liquid diet. My attack was ideopathic as I'm a healthy 6'4" 24 year old with no gallstones and who doesn't drink. My attack was on 5/10 and I feel 100% now, but the first week home was pretty rough. I was on Norco and needed it to sleep and rest for the first week or so, then it started tapering down. The mental stress was almost as bad as the physical pain. I suggest going for a swim and watching Parks and Rec. Also, do some banana protein shakes. That's my two cents.
Hi Lew,
Smoothies and low fat soups are very good as are porridge(skimmed milk), low fat yogurts, plain potato, rice, jelly. When you can eat a bit more, introduce plain fish and plain chicken and potatoes and veggies if you can eat them and salads. Little and often, no big meals but smaller meals more often. Drink water min 2lt-3lt a day.Eat veg and fruit to much.Make veg and fruit juices.Hava a good day.
