I was scratched by my one year old unvaccinated pug..... I took the vaccine on the same day....but today after a month I am having a sore throat and shaking in my hands and legs ...I had shaking my hands since always but the shaking of legs is worrying me... please help... could it be Rabies???
Sachit
It all depends where you are in the world. ?
In the UK we do not have Rabies, although if we visit the Irish Republic the dogs need the Rabies injection. Pax is going for His today in fact so we can take Him on holiday.
All I can suggest if in parts of Europe, or you do not know where the dog is from the dog needs to be checked at a Vet and reported. You will then need to talk to your GP and have tests done as well.

From what I’ve read the rabies vaccine is effective in close to 100% of cases so the chance of going on to develop it is slim to none. Try and calm yourself with the medical facts, you are probably suffering with anxiety and maybe a sore throat. These are way more plausible causes.

How is your little dog today.
Pax had his injection today and we were talking to the vet, they say the modern injection is really good compared to what it was like in the 70s so we were comforted with that. Pax had His nails done as well and they caught the quick, they got the blood stopped and is ok now. We pick up his Passport on Monday.
Have you felt any better today, we have some nasty bugs at this time of year and we seem to be always catching things as we go into Spring.
BOB
Did you mean to send this to Sachit about his pug? I’m very much a cat person I’m afraid!
