I went on vacation about two weeks ago to PR with my husband of 9 years. Everything was great, we were having sex daily up until the third day into the vacation. I woke up sore one morning but attributed to a night of rough sex. Still we had sex again that morning just before taking off for our daily adventure. By the time we got home that evening and I went to use the bathroom i noticed some yeast. I thought great, a yeast infection on vacation. I immediately snuck off to cvs and bought some monistat 1 in hopes it would relieve symptoms before it got worse. Unfortunately by the next morning the yeast was bad and I had several large painful sores on my vagina. No pus, no crust, just chancre looking sores and bad yeast infection. I freaked out and questioned my husband but he denies fooling around at any point in time. I spent the next three days laying in bed with a fever, yeast infection that seemed to be getting worse and sores that were so painful I dreaded peeing. The day I flew back home I went straight to the ER from the airport. Doctors told me I had a horrible UTI, bad yeast infection and foliculititis. Still a week later and most of the sores are gone. They literally healed over night but the deeper ones are still visible. No longer in any kind of pain but I am still applying the Bactroban cream the doctors prescribed for 10 days. Still suspicious onto what this could be. I don't buy the foliculitis. The sores are only superficial. None in the vagina. I'm terrified it's herpes but they don't look like any picture I've found so far.
How do I add the picture off my phone??
You can only do it through a desktop
Unless you get it again so can do a swab test for herpes, there's nothing you can do other than test for herpes IgG antibodies (not IgM) at 3 months. Pity they did not swab you for herpes when you had the sores.
