Take a deep breath in hold for 4 seconds and slowly let it out. This will help lower your heart rate and reduce your anxiety. Can you get anymore from the pharmacy?
Thanks for the advice I have tried this I just can't seem to forget about anything and I don't think I can but thank you so much for your reply really appreciate ur time
I read....anything and everything that’s fun and has nothing to do with my anxiety. Read a god fiction, or just a magazine....anything. Then your mind will go to what you’re reading. Think about something you are interested in, and take some time to read up on it. I find that doing that lowers my heart rate, and just takes that edge off. It’s easy to get caught up googling stuff, and then believing you have these issues. It sucks. I know. I’m a work in progress too. Find something fun to get excited about. 😇
Been exactly in your shoes about a year ago. Have you tried an ssri or another anxiety medication along with the propranolol. I find that for me it helps with the edge when without. Call your doc and ask for a refill request. The propranolol works wonders for me.
First of all run away from Google!!! You could have a sore toe and Google will tell you have some form of rare cancer. Heart palpitations are a normal part of anxiety especially when you get yourself really ramped up.. You really need to get your self into cognitive behaviorial therapy and back on your meds. Dropping off your meds all of a sudden is a guaranteed crash and burn. Right now you're like Henny Penny the sky is falling! It's not your fault but you need to seek professional help like yesterday. Good luck!
Thank you so much for your reply u have helped alot
I've just sort of been trying to forget about it thank you so much for your reply
I stopped Googling stuff that makes everything worse but thanks a lot for your reply really appreciate it
Hi,
Looks like I am out of touch with anxiety medications but why are you on propranolol ? That is an angina medication, it's a beta blocker. If you have run out no wonder your getting lots of palpitations and chest discomfort even though you may not suffer angina ? If you have run out and this medication does indeed work for your anxiety a trip to your emergency department is warranted.
