To everyone who can read this..This is my story...I was having a sex and ofcourse with kissing a 2 weeks ago and about 2 days ago He told me that he has a HSV Type 1. I was shocked because i dont know this kind of virus till i search and found out this website forums. He told me also that the virus is not active when the time we are had that..My question is it is possible for me to have it? What is the symptoms? and when should i feel the symptoms after exposure? Can anyone help me what is the best thing to do? I did not have my blood test yet..
Hi enirektah, he has hsv1 that's the one on the mouth if he didn't have like cold sore or getting one at the time during kissing or oral sex because it can to transfer there then you should be good, I experience my first outbreak like the next day after sex it felt like a bump was coming down there like a razor bump, but it started to get worse and burn wen I pee so I went to the doctor got tested and now I have HSV2 which is genital herpes , hsv1 is not so bad as hsv2 , so if u not experiencing any tingling or seeing any sore or feeling sick like flu symptoms then I wouldn't be worried.
Hi Shakie, Thanks for your replied..As of this moments ( 2 weeks since we had it ) i never felt anything like that do you think im not infected? usually how many days or weeks to feel the symptoms?

It just all depends you can never really tell until you get an outbreak and usually the virus has to be in your body for up to 6 months for them to even be able to give you an positive for sure result ...
for the mean time just wait it out .. I know it's complicated and scary and time consuming .
And different people have different symptoms .. When I got mine I never had any symptoms that people tend to have I just ended up with some bumps and got scared

The type that he has doesn't shed as much but that doesn't mean he can go around having sex without condoms and what not

Yes i already talked to him and showed me the medical test that he is positive for HSV Type 1 and Negative for Type 2..
Its been almost 3 weeks now since the day of exposure and yet i did not feel any symptoms except that i have a back pain but no tingling and any sores.
I hope everything will be ok with me..
