Ibs and shortness of breath.

my lad suffers with stomach pains now almost 24/7 he is suffering at times (mostly every 30mins) with a tight shortness of breath does anyone else suffer with this? and also any advice how to treat it

Does your son have IBS? Shortness of breath could be as a result of stress and the pain. IBS can cause a lot of stress.

they dont actually know. The docs thought ibs at first but now they think its some kind of rare problem to do with digestion and food flowing both ways out and in to stomach

Have your doctor given a name to the rare condition they think your son has?

IBS does not cause shortness of breath. Sounds more like anxiety

Sorry to hear about that, It is very painful to see if our kid is suffering.
what is his age?
As kids can have whole different kinds of problem than adults.
Did he have any specific tests?
