Ibs, functional dyspepsia, nausea, loss of appetite, stomach feels caved or sucked in

A month ago I started having nausea when i went to eat cooked food. i could only eat bland foods like white rice, raw carrots, raw broccoli, apples, pears, watermelons, coconut water. and when i ate something, i could only eat a few bites before loosing my appetite and feeling full. The area around my belly button is where i feel a cramping, burning, hunger pain that is on and off.

i had all the tests done, upper GI ENDOSCOPY, CT SCAN, HIDA SCAN, CELIAC TEST, CALPROTECTANT TEST. All except the HIDA SCAN was normal. HIDA SCAN with CCK showed a reading of 26% But no pain near right rib.

BUT NOW I HAVE A NEW SYMPTOM. For the past 2 days my stomach feels caved in or sucked in, especially when i lay flat on my back. and i had 2 bowel movements where part of my stool was black.

Has anyone experienced this? What does it mean when your stomach feels caved in?

I’m sorry your having such difficulties with your GI system. If you’ve had black stool that’s a strong indication that there may internal bleeding, and I personally would not wait for a GI appt. & I’d go to the Emergency room at a hospital that you like, and get this checked out as soon as possible. Now if you have eaten oreo cookies or something black & similar then, your stool may be black from whatever you ate. If not, I’d go get this checked out now. I’m no Doctor, yet I’ve dealt with multiple GI diseases for 46 years now, & black stool is a huge red flag. Best wishes to you, I pray all will be well soon for you.
