Hi just wondering if anyone has had discomfort in upper back due to gas? Im pretty sure im in a flare up. Here is a list of my symptoms discomfort in upper back in between shoulder blades bloating gas stomach discomfort heartburn gas pain that i can feel go up into throat then back down. This is starting to cause me anxiety and scaring me. Any help or suggestions appreciated
I haven’t heard of discomfort between your shoulder blades with IBS. However, it is possible you are having referred pain. With IBS, the back pain/discomfort tends to be in the lower part of your spine. The end portion of your colon wraps your lower back and that’s why you get pain there with IBS. You can also get upper digestive tract symptoms with IBS. Maybe check with your doctor about the shoulder blade discomfort.
i only had pain in my upper back issues when i had gallbladder issues but as far as what i seen and heard its possible with IBS especially with aches and pain in your body, but the gas ur taking about that go in your throat i have this too
