Hi guys I’ve had some stomach issues for a month now .. pain in left side that comes and goes , gas pains that come and when I flatulate the pain disappears. My stools have been floating as of late and looks like there white stringy mucus in them ? Is this normal ? ... I was worried of malabsorption but doctor said fat is normally orange tint to it and oil in the toilet ? Thanks
So sorry you are dealing with this. I am having the exact same problems, pains in the lower quadrants of the abdomen ( sometimes the right side and sometimes the left). I was at the hospital twice and had a CT scan both times was told there was thickening in the sigmoid colon. I'm awaiting a colonoscopy but have received no answers or relief. I have also had constipation but even when I have good bowl movements I experience these issues. The gas/air inside of me is quite aggressive too!
The only inclination of a diagnosis was divurticulitus or possible Chrons. (Excuse my spelling).
Does the pain move about? Do you have diarrhoea or constipation or a mixture of both? Do any foods set it off? Have you had any stress? If so, it could be IBS. See your doctor again for diagnosis.
I know this reply was not to me but I have similar symptoms. My pains are. Sometimes on my lower right side but then sometimes on my left lower side and I have more constipation than diarrhea
I used to suffer for years with same . Plus I used to get fever . My recovery method now is cut out grains, fruit and certain veg like cauliflower cabbage . Carrots and peas ok. I just go on diet of eggs for breakfast then meat, fish with plain rice. I take magnesium pills and plenty of water. It takes about 2 days to recover sometimes 3 but is guaranteed to work for me. In the early years when I didn't know what it was it would take weeks to clear.
Sounds like the symptoms I had.
