Just been diagnosed with IBS. Cannot believe anyone in there right mind would intentionally put themselves through this pain/nausea/headache intentionally. Of course I'm happy that all tests, scans etc came back clear but can't get my head round that my diet and lifestyle is the cause of this horrendous feeling.
You will soon adjust x I've suffered food intolerance ibs since I had a vomiting bug 3 years ago x follow low FODMAP diet and stick to it. My buggest causes of nausea and spasms and tummy ache are milk products (lactose) onions, garlic, wheat and legumes. You can reintroduce as it may not be all of them but there are so many alternatives out there. Gluten free breads, scones, crumpets, pitta, wraps, almond milk, lactose free products, free from gluten and milk cakes, plain crisps, all meats fine, potatoes, rice, gluten free pasta, etc etc xxxx but you have to stick to it if you want the pain to go away xxxx
Thank you.
theres a big increase in this condition due to high salt and sugar in processed food
when we cooked and ate better this condition wasnt heard of so much
Sorry, but I don't buy that. I eat very little processed food - the odd piece of bacon or sausage is it - and they don't cause any problems. There clearly must be something about the modern lifestyle that is causing all these types of issues (allergies, intolerances, etc.), but it's not that simple, or it would be easy enough to fix.
