I was just curious has anyone felt heart palipitations during a flare up or a symptom of their IBS ?
I Have an upcoming appointment with my Gastro and will be discussing it with her but was wondering if i was alone in this ?

Sounds like an anxiety symptom you are having as a result of your flare ups. I have never had this with my IBS. I would try relaxation therapy first before seeing your gastro. Doctors will only want to prescribe you anti anxiety meds which can end up causing you more problems than they solve.
I get the palpitations often with my IBS, hh or stomach virus. It is generally caused by the vagus nerve which travels through much of the body and is especially sensitive to problems related to the stomach and intestines. It controls the heart rhythm and feels like an actual heart event but all tests usually come back normal. It is fairly common. I had it for weeks at a time when I had a bad virus which in turn exacerbated my IBS.
I just bought some IBSolution pills. Ever try them? Also does your rectum hurt or burn? Does it hurt when you sit on your butt?

I cannot tolerate any meds. Yes my butt gets very sore at times especially when I am extra bloated then I get a lot of pain in various areas. Had IBD 55 years and have been through living hell with it. Had gallbladder surgery almost 2 years ago and that really did me in. I have never been so sick in my life. My dr. was ready to call hospice a couple times.
