I relate to this as well. As a sufferer from I.B.S. i also get pain in my left shoulder.,thought i was having a heart attack.I find Wind ease soft gel capsules help. Comforting to know others have same symptom.

Yes, I have had this before and chest pains. I have been told I have IBS, but I'm not totally convinced (I have posted separately about this).

IBS is probably the result of a chronic systemic disease and may be different for each individual.

Systemic diseases often cause inflammation.

Inflammation causes the blood to become thicker.

Thickened blood cannot pass oxygen, glucose, or nutrients to the cells efficiently.

Most IBS sufferers should have other symptoms.

Chronic fatigue, thyroid related problems, poor short term memory, headaches.

The NHS will almost never check blood viscosity or inflammatory markers hence they are blind to the cause of IBS or to any possible treatment. All organs and glands in the body will be adversely affected not just the bowels.

Having intermittent constipation or looseness is normal.

Having spells of constipation followed by spells of looseness is IBS.

My IBS is being successfully treated.
