might be random but has anyone taken the physio ice packs on a flight?
getting TKR and flying 10 weeks after, was looking at the packs that you squeeze and shake to activate but unsure if they are allowed on a flight or not.

People can travel on an airplane six weeks after their surgery. Though I suggest you check with your surgeon prior to flying. During flying, exercise your calf muscles and ankles frequently. Also, get up and walk the aisle of the airplane to avoid the possibility of blood clots. Check with your surgeon about taking a blood-thinner medication before flying. Wear your white anti-embolism stockings to reduce the risk of blood clots. Not sure about the ice packs though - you will have to check with the airline…and good luck with that…lol…think you may have trouble unless you can buy then airport side due to the limited water regulations…x
Airplanes carry lots of crushed ice on board . call ahead and see if you being a gallon zip lock bag if they would fill it for you. Be sure to double bag. Let us know what you find out.
