I am considering IDD Therapy for my slipped discs. Has anyone had this treatment and what was the result of the treatment.
One trial came up with the following when a sham group and an idd group were compared:
Despite the fact that no difference could be found between idd therapy and the sham therapy, added to standard graded activity, a significant decrease in lower back pain and leg pain and an increase in functional status and quality of life was found in both groups. These significant improvements were remarkable, and we believe some of it may be due to the standard graded activity program, but also partly due to the attention received during the 20 treatment sessions in the as device. The added axial, intermittent, mechanical traction of idd therapy has shown not to be effective.
What is IDD therapy? I'm at last chance surgery with my back, on the wait list. I'm interested in anything that may help
