Idiopathic subglottic stenosis - anyone found a connection with allergies?

Hello - I was diagnosed with a subglottic stenosis (or tracheal stenosis) 3 years ago and have had 5 surgeries so far.  No cause has yet been found - the usual one have been ruled out - cancer, Wegeners, reflux etc, and I wondered if anyone had ever come across an association with allergies or has any insight into what it might be caused by?  I would be SO grateful for any clues as I am facing repeat surgeries and then tracheal resection which I am really dreading.  Many thanks in advance.

I think my allergies are connected...I have severe allegeries..sinus drains into my broncial tubes causes musus...I have had throat surgery a few months ago...just a little scar tissue removed...had a yeast infection caused by the use of Advair..took 3 months to clear up..I went to the doctor yesterday well it is back...I wheeze at lot..i hope you get better...

Thank you for your reply Cynthia - I send you my very best wishes for recovery too.
