Went great for
If I can't tolerate ANY caffeine after anti-reflux surgery should I consider the surgery a failure??
Acid reflux surgery can cause a variety of minor and severe complications. An intolerance to caffeine isn’t a major one though. However, there are much safer ways of treating acid reflux such as over the counter antacids, short term PPIs, milk and avoiding foods that trigger heartburn. I treat my reflux with milk and OTC antacids. I was once prescribed omeprazole for a short time. I also avoid excessively greasy and spicy foods. All of these things worked for me. Consider these remedies first before deciding on surgery which is not so easily reversed. If diet and medication work, this would be the better option.
Hi Music4gamers. You don't say what type of surgery you had and what it involved. Was it for G.E.R.D.?
