i have been doing a lot of research on herpes lately because i got my blood test come back with igM weak reactive igg negative, but i don't have the symptoms of herpes besides i have ulcers on my penis that are not form from blister, not pain at all, discharge some yellow thick fluid and it heal without scabbing. All the information that i got is igm is not accurate and should not be tested because i have been freaking out since i got tesed and it doesnt even not approved by CDC. The info that i got from internet was back in 2013 and my worry is does it still inaccurate in 2017?

Yes, it is still unreliable and not advised. You should test for IgG instead, if there are no lesions or symptoms to swab, bearing in mind that the HerpeSelect IgG test kit is not without its own issues as well (still much better than the IgM test).
thanks for your reply, does igm applies on antibody fighting herpes only or referring to any first antibody that started in body recently?
Whenever I refer to IgM or IgG, it's always specific to HSV unless I say otherwise. So, yes, the HSV-specific antibodies.
