I had a THR in 2015 and ever since I have had groin pain. I am beginning to believe that it is iliopsoas tendinitis. Apparently there are two surgical options for iliopsoas tendinopathy : step lengthening of the iliopsoas tendon or releasing the tendon at the lesser trochanter. Has anyone ever had either of these procedures??? Please share any information you can about your experience - recovery, pain relief, leg strength.. Had THR on right in 2015 and had severe pain from the psoas. Numerous cortisone injections and botox relieved pain but after so many treatments shots no longer effective. Had a Psoas release by Dr James Ross in Boca Raton Hospital March of 2018 and was best decision. Now pain free, I HIGHLY recommend Dr Ross. he has done numerous of these and you can find discussions about him on this site
im new here and wondering how many people have had the surgery for iliopsoas tendon release , I’m currently waiting to have mine done and I’ve read quite a few things on it and im starting to get a little worried . i had my thr done 4/2/19 had about 3 months where the pain wasnt bad but since then its been a nightmare . would love to get some information . thanks in advance .
