I'm a drunk

I'm sorry for interrupting your time. I'm a drunk and no longer can deal with it.

That's ok, Max. You can turn it around. Have you heard of The Sinclair Method? Have a look for it on this page:

http://patient.info/forums/discuss/useful-resources-487627

It's what I used and I went from 300-400 drinks per month to about 12 per month.

There is nothing there to work with Max59. Are you after help, or is this just simply a statement of fact and you have some other plan to "End your Drinking problem" permanently?

I'm sorry. I honestly believe I'm way past this kind of help.

I am too currently on 1.5litres wine a day was getting counselling but never that sober to go I am slowly dying tried to get into rehab but no luck I've tried cutting down but then I end up really sick open to suggestions

What??? No smart ass come back?

Karen, I'm pretty much the same situation. Talking, has worked some for me.

Hello Max . I'm so pleased you have reached out here. This is a wonderful safe place to open up and find comfort . We all have different experiences and stories to tell . I've written loads of posts on here over the years , some very drunk , some after a few glasses , some sober . We all act and react differently . I'm on the Sinclair method too but with counselling also and I must say that talking with people that understand is the key . It's unlocked many things for me . I hope you can revisit this post fully tomorrow and investigate the possibilities and choices you have in moving forward . There is always some way !!!! I'm focussing my treatment in learning more and helping others in the progress I make . Sending you kind thoughts and compassion smile xx

Great to hear about your success. This is the way forward for Max. Sinclair method 😁

Ok, can you please give me an overview of the Sinclair method? Obviously I'm having a tough time right now.

Not at all, mate. The Sinclair Method slowly backs alcoholism out the way it came in. I've seen it work on more than a few people that started drinking when they got up in the morning. It takes time and patience, but it works for most of the people that try it.

Max, I have to get out the door here, but I'll send you a Private Message with some links to info about The Sinclair Method. Here's a link to your messages in case you don't know how to find PM's here:

Karen, I've Sent you some links too.

Max there is no need to apologise. I am alcohol dependent. I started drinking after I developed severe insomnia 7 months ago and someone suggested drinking before bed would help. But it seems my tolerance is rising and I need more to fall asleep plus the next day I get anxiety, depression and some muscle spasms because of the alcohol withdrawal. Before getting insomnia I rarely drank alcohol. I feel like a curse has been put on me. I hope you get proper help. I want to quit myself but when I try I cannot sleep at all. So I buy more alcohol.

Hi again Max . Yes , of course . Please look up the C3 foundation Europe ! Joanna is amazing and will put you in touch with the help you need to move forward if your choice is the Sinclair method TSM !! . Please let us know on here how you are doing ? You can always private message me too . My therapy in life is to help others  smileHugs to you xx

ADE, I am new here. So obviously I'm Not proficient in getting around here. Thank you so much for the guide.

Know exactly how you feel Gareth. I dread morning's. Unless I can sleep past 7 in the morning, that's when I can make it to the corner store to resupply. Some times I shake so bad, that if anyone would actually see it, would be devastated.

I take it you're speaking of Naltroxone?

Thank you so very much rainbow. I don't know how to private message on here yet.

You are absolutely right and I second your message. I would have said the same thing. It's not easy and there are ups and downs, but as long as one wants to get better and isn't afraid to reach out, anything is possible.
