Hi. My name is Amanda and I'm sixteen years old. For the past 5-6 years I've noticed that i have small clusters of bumps inside of my my vagina. I've never said anything to anybody about it (because it's embarrassing) until this year. I went to my local pediatrics for a "female check-up" but all my doctor told me is that is was a yest infection. I was really relieved when she told me that but i still thought it was something else. But I took the medication to see if it would get better. The itching and odor went away but it came back. My symptoms are burning, itching, odor, discharge and of course the bumps. I looked up my symptoms and the only thing that pops up is genital herpes. I deal with this on a daily basis and I'm really scared. like what if I really do have herpes? I've never had any sexual contact in my life including, oral sex or fingering. Plus I have a boyfriend. This situation is the only reason why i wont have sex with him. I'm scared that i have it and i need answers! Please help me.

My young friend. If you never had sex you do not have anything. The yeast infection is enough of a problem. If you still have it call and talk with the doctor again.

At 16 you do not need to have sex. Do not let this guy talk you into anything ( even if you want to ) Even if you use a condom you can still get pregnant. Would you like to have a baby at 16. It has happen to many times. Guys talk a girl into sex because they just want to get off. Your the one that will have to deal with the baby not them. It is a lot to deal with. Finish school first.
