I'M FREE!! I've been taking cipramil for the past 5years following family/friend bereavements in close succession. I was determined to come off these horrible little white things this time. I have tried several withdrawal programmes before but ended up giving in because of the awful withdrawal symptoms. I finally conquered it just before Christmas & I'm feeling fine and dandy!! Now I just need to tackle the 4+ stone I put on whilst taking the dreaded tablets.

how did you manage to do this in the end was it a reduction plan or something else.

it is interesting to learn different ways of stopping the tablets

Hiya Jacqui, sorry about the delay in replying to your question.

I reduced gradually over a period of weeks until I was taking just 5mg every 4/5 days. Eventually just stopped them but still had some weird side effects but as it was Christmas holidays it was easier to cope with than being at work.

I've been absolutely fine since stopping them and I've noticed that a lot of the side effects described below disappeared. You don't realise at the time how many things this drug affects. :yikes:
