I discoverd a rash on my legs and thought if was a shaving rash, until it spread to my feet. I went to my doctor and she said i had HSP, at this point i wasnt too worried as she said it would clear up on it own.
The rash then got worse and i started to worry, as it spread up my thighs. My ankles have swelled up, to the point where i cant stand or walk for a long peroid of time. I went to the hospital where they gave me some tablets for the itching on my legs and the pain in my ankles.
It has now spead on my arms and my breasts. Does anyone know why?
They said if i get sevre stomach pain, they will treat it with steroids. This is where i went really worried as my friend got put on them and she ballooned, she put on so much weight that she looks like a diffrent person. I am scared this will happen to me. Will it?
How long will this be here for?
Also i am going on holiday in august, if this HSP is still on me, will i be able to fly?

I am only 16 and have the same illness
Have had it now since march and im on steriods and immuno suppressants to make sure my kidneys dont fail. But i think i have a bad course. its still here now but doesnt affect me because of the steriods. My face is slightly chubbier but not too bad and ive mananged to go onn my holidays no problem.
as for the illness itself, it can last for months but will go at some point. but something like 50% will have re-occurances.
If you have kidney problems then it may be a hard few months but if its just the rash then you will probably be ok. Depends on all the symptons. Im coping ok with it all but it is a pain.

yea its just the rash for me! but i have had looads of test and stuff and it seems ok atm. the rash itself seems to fade but then come back again!
i am aloud to go on holiday so thats good news for me!
i havent been put on steroids yet and i dont think i will *touch wood*
