I've often considered "the easy way out" due to how much this is ruining my life. I'm 22, I go to the gym 6 times a week and I eat healthily. I'm sick every other day.
I'll wake up with a sore throat, swollen glands, foggy head and fatigue.. I'll drag myself to work where I'll be lethargic all day. I'll then leave work, go to the gym (feeling ok) and then I'll get home with a pounding head ache, temperature, and sore throat.
This is usually 5 days out of 7.
My friends say "you're always ill Dan" - and they're right, I'm ALWAYS sick. I always have a headache, and for somebody who's active, I'm always so lethargic and fatigued. Even writing this now, my throat is sore, my head is hurting and I could easily fall asleep. I dont know what to do. I've been the doctors so many times and they've told me I'm fine. Clearly I'm not.
I do take Sertraline for anxiety - I just dont think this is what that is. I can't afford to feel like this anymore, I'm going to lose my job. Can someone please help me?
Dan,dont know what your work is,but could you be allergic to something in your workspace? Do you have good lighting in the workspace?
Do you get enough deep sleep? 8 hours minimum
Has your doctor considered Glandular Fever? Your symptoms sound similar and you are the right sort of age.
Have you had your eyes tested? Needing glasses may not explain the sore throat but may explain the headaches.
Do you snore? or sleep with your mouth open?
Thanks for your reply Marina.
Surely glandular fever wouldn’t keep returning every week? And I have glasses. The headaches aren’t the worse part it’s the fatigue and lethargic feeling.
I sleep enough I’d say, I don’t know. I’m going for a full blood test tomorrow.
Have you checked for vitamin deficiency? Even if you eat healthy, you could still develop if not one, multiple. Have every single vitamin checked. And if that comes back normal, try cutting gluten out. Try for two or three weeks before committing and you’ll most likely see a difference. Gluten sticks to the body for days and can cause fatigue, headaches, and much more. Hope you feel better soon.
