So for a good few days I have been getting these really weird symptoms. So I can be ok going about my business and all of a sudden I get this weird sensation in head my vision starts going darker and hazy I start to panic my heart races and I get this weird tightness in throat and it lasts for seconds and fades but it’s been happening various times throughout the day. It’s the scariest weirdest feeling ever. I also get random twitches anywhere on my body. I have been having random memory flashbacks and Deja vu as well.
Can anxiety actually do this to you? I am so scared I may have seizures or a form of epilepsy. Had occasions of this over the years but doctors say it’s not seizures but when I google all my symptoms match seizures.
Please could I get some advise? It’s the weird dark hazy vision and panic that something terrible going to happen that’s the worst thing for me.
I know exactely how you feel! I have severe health anxiety with a looot of weirs symptoms which takes only few second! I was too scared that I have partial lobe epilepsy! I was in panic mode for two weeks straight! i was crying like baby! I was sure that I had epilepsy! I have read too much about in on Google and it made me out of mind!!!
My symptoms were derealisation, depersonalisation, adrenalin rush, vision problems, flashbacks, headaches, confussion, dizzines, weird feelings in head like electricity, brain zapps, pain and tingling in body and stomach, I also had Deja Vu few times and many other I can't even remember!
I had too mach tests done, and it all came normal! I'm healthy!

Please trust your doctors! Anxiety is the most scariest thing which can mimic almost all disease in the world! Especially when you are scared and focused too much on some symptoms! You are scared of having epilepsy and this is the reason why your anxiety attacks looks like this! ... If you were scared of cancer, your symptoms would look like cancer symptoms! You are just too focused and scared!
What helps me a lot was a webpage called: "List of Over 100 anxiety symptoms"
I have found myself in many of this!
Don't be worried! It's just anxiety! And please remember, anxiety attacks can hit you from sudden, so don't be scared!
Hi juffy this message helps a lot to try and reassure me. Can I ask you what tests did you have? I can’t dxplain the weirdest feelings ever are happening. Today for example I was at a party for my little one and was just chatting to people and on three occasions from nowhere the whole room felt surreal like it went darker and my vision went weird and cloudy. I started to feel like everyone around me looked strange before it dissapered but leave my heart racing. This can happen anytime anywhere. What causes this? Is this an epileptic aura?
Hello mate....you reasons of fear align with that of mine...exactly months agao that now nears one year i started having those weird and troublesome symptoms which i had no idea where it was coming from.....but in a nutshell it let me get a feeling for dying.....i underwent many tests and wondourously it came back normal inclung an mri and tc.scan....since anxirty is term used so normally so people dont get to settle with the idea that they might have an anxiety and start probing the physical symptoms that they get and every turn their mind shuffle between different thoughts........i looked a physche and he prescribed some medicine and told me to follow it up for 6 or 9 months now it has been 5 months since and starting to creat good results...roughly i can manage to say that i have recovered 70%........it helped me alot....please don't waste your time on any tests or going to other doctors......see a psyche and you will start to see results in no time.....i dont find any deviation in your story from that of mine so i can state with strength that is anxiety and it comes for no reason with all those irrational fears......may you get well soon
Sounds alot like anxiety, it can cause many scary symptoms, I too have felt the same way at times and I have found that doing something to take my mind off of it tends to help
How can anxiety cause the same things that epileptic aura describes? I get this intense feeling of fear from nothing it makes everything around me feel dreamlike and surreal before it passes
Hey brother as just i said it these symptoms looks fimiliar with many other diseases too but it does not make it that way......in my case i was skeptical of being normal and thought it was a brain tumour but it was not and just being in the same state as you are,i was having worst fears and was preoccupied completely with the notion of having something worst in my skull.....brace yourself brother...there is not anything as such
Anxiety can do this. But before you see a psychiatrist, see a cardiologist request a brain scan or MRI Once these things have been ruled out any problem, then make an appointment with a psychiatrist. They could be of some help. anxiety doesn' show up on any test so if every other thing has been ruled out you may go down that route Anxiety comes in all kinds of packages..Wish you the best of luck
Hi Sandra my neurologist sent me for a scan a few years ago as was experiencing all these same symptoms but all came back clear. I have had numerous neuro appts since with a great neurologist but he is reluctant to send me for another scan and said he would openly say all this anxiety and not epilepsy but I read seizure websites and all my symptoms match people with focal seizures that’s why I am scared. Surely anxiety can’t do this surely
It can unfortunately. I get these same vision effects. Vision starts to go black, people look distorted or different at times and that causes me to panic
Hi alesha can anxiety cause these strange episodes of fear that cone out of nowhere that affect my vision and it all goes cloudy and foggy and dreamlike? I am scared I am going to have a tonic clonic seizure
Hi Jonathan, one time a long time ago I passed out from heat exhaustion. I’m always afraid I am going to pass out again when my anxiety is high which amplifies it even more. I don’t get the tightness in chest or breathing/ heart symptoms of anxiety. Mine is different. All vision related.
