hey everyone! so ive been having dizziness for about 7 days now. sometimes nausea, headaches, & my head feels like its floating. :( can anyone tell me?
wouldn’t hurt to get it checked out. Maybe migraine? Are you getting a spinning sensation or just dizzy?
i was at the clinic they said maybe i have vertigo so they gave me meclizine and i was out the door already. & i feel off balanced. wozzy, lightheaded/dizzy. feels like im on a roller coaster for 24/7 non stop.
hi Peter have you seen a ENT? l was like you he told me its not my ear what causes the problem l had all the test done .He tóld me to stand on the spot with my eyes closed with my arms out straight start marching on the spot count to 30 when l opened my eyes l turn to the left he said I’ve got a weak balance system .l told him l feel like I’m walk on a trampoline l feel wores in supermarkets .He said it caused by Anxiety and stress he sent me for vestibular exercise it did help. This is the exercises l did
Peter, what was the medication that they have you? Was it Serc? because that is for inner ear disorders.
they prescribed me with meclizine! D:
nope i didnt see a ENT i went into the urgent care and they just tested me for strep throat and i didnt have that. so they did a vertigo test then prescribed me with meclizine and sent me on my way. but its been 8 straight days with this head feeing like its floating, dizziness. just feels like im on a roller coaster ![]()
peter, mecclizine isnt going to make this go away. we all have been given this when we first get vertigo. it just helps with the dizziness. it wont cure it. you need to find the root of the problem. most likely they will first tell you BPPV- then something like vestibular nueritis. a walk in center, an ER, is just going to stabalize you and kick you out. you need a specialist. an otolaryngologist. look up dizzy clinic in a major city near you. you need testing, caloric testing. MRI- just to rule out the most serious. but just dont sit and wait for mecclizine to fix you. can you do vestibular PT- this was very helpful for me. the supermarket is a huge clue of vestibular issue. we all have trouble at first in the grocery store. dont waste time here. try to pay attention when you are foggy and dizzy, do you have a headache, one sided under eye. any numbness in hand, eye drooping. its hard to keep track of symptoms when you are foggy, but this is what made me realize i had vestibular migraines, not BPPV or VN
