Hey everyone! so i have some great news, i finally went to a doctor and i am now getting the help i need! The doctor gave me combotherapy and she perscribed me with Teva Escitalopram (Cipralex) in 10 mg. I read some articles about the medication and its one of the most tolerated medication out there. However like the idiot i am, i started to read some articles and i saw that people had bad experiences with this type of medication and it freaked me out. But when i took it and i went to bed, i felt like i had the best sleep in my life. When i woke up this morning though, i started to feel dizzy, drowsy and really nauseous. is this normal? do i have to be monitored by my family while on the medication? Also, i take birth control for my period to regulate. can i still take it? i'm very sorry for all the questions its just i have never taken these before and i wanna make sure that im safe.
it can take 4 to 6 weeks to get used to a medication. Side effects will most likely go away. Everybody responds to medication differently so don’t get too concerned with what other people say. try to stay on it because eventually it will level out. Unless you’re having some really horrible side effects then discuss it with your doctor. medication interactions should be discussed with your doctor or you can call a pharmacist and ask the question about birth control. you don’t necessarily have to be monitored by your family but you can always discuss side effects with them and also with your doctor. Hope you feel better soon!
