I’m worried

does anyone have like contsant lower back pain? i thought i contarcted hsv1 about a year ago but no outbreaks (that i know of) so i just ingored it. now my lower back pain is more severe and i csn feel it all in my buttocks but stikl no obvious breakout.

Your best bet is to go get an IGG type blood test.

Lower back pain can be associated with a herpes outbreak, my first outbteak started with a lower back ache, then the rest of the symptoms followed a day or two later.

That being said, back aches can be so many things and on its own doesnt mean HSV.

90% of the population has HSV, 80% dont know it because of either how mild their outbreaks are, or they dont have any symptoms.

HSV1 can be both oral or genital, as can HSV2.
So, by going an getting an IGG type blood test, youll only know the strand, not the location until you get a visible outbreak.

That being said, even if you test positive for only HSV1, and eventually experience oral outbreaks, its important to know oral HSV can be transmitted to the genitals through oral sex.

All to say, its better to know if you carry either type, to help prevent it spreading it unknowingly.
I was given genital HSV2 by my partner who is an asymptomatic carrier.

thanks for your reply appreciate it. ive had hsv1 since childhood but my gf never had them but i know i transferred them orally to her as she now gets cold sores up her nose.
