My Consultant advised me to only take half a Imodium when I have diarrhoea otherwise it may make me constipated

Is consultation a common occurrence for you? I take Immodium PRN. Only if I have diarrhea. I live in fear of being constipated so I'm very cautious about how I take it. With that being said, I take one every day if I'm having trouble with it. I just moved to FL so had to find a new gasto guy. I told him what I was doing and he was fine with it. He did caution me to see him if the episodes got too bad to control. So far I am good. I do have special circumstances though as I don't have my illeosecle valve. Too much water gets through to my colon and makes for issues some days. Everything is pretty much under control now though.

I paid to see consultant it cost me a lot but I feel it was worth it. I get a lot of diarrhoea so I take Imodium maybe once a week My GP is really good and I can go talk to him when I need to. He thinks I also have IBS See a nutritionist in September to sort out what is best for me to eat and she is going to do some tests for food allergies
