in need of reassurance!! (again)

okay, while i'm sure i'm more than a familiar name in this forum, i'll reiterate.

i'm 16 (&&wink under severe stress (&&wink anxiety on a daily basis.

about three days ago now, i had my yearly wellness check and was given three vaccines in the process. while the check itself was quick (all seemed fine aside from my depression screening, which i'm going into therapy for at some undisclosed time) the vaccines were for meningitis, hep-a, and hpv (gardasil).

now i know gardasil has some side effects, and i've been reassured by many of what those are. but more research on it has shown life-affecting ones that have worried me more so, and i can't help but get more stressed in the process.

right now i'm struggling /w a quarter sized lump (that's gone down slightly since yesterday) over the vaccine site, most of that general area seems quite swollen actually, warmth over that area, dizziness, chest pains in the middle/under the ribs on the left side/left side in general, heaviness in left leg, pain in both legs, head pressure, noisy stomach/abdomen, occasional nose (&&wink hands numbness/tingling, occasional fever that comes (&&wink goes, chest pressure and full body chills. not to mention intrusive thoughts which convince me i'm dying anytime my eyelids get heavy which in turn makes me TERRIFIED of sleeping.

any advice from those with these symptoms and/or someone who's had this vaccine?

Darling this is what this site is for because for people like our selves we need the constant reassurance I think its part of our condition. to me what you are describing  is what seems like the normal symptoms of our anxiety and stress I can say for me I have gone through most of the symptoms you have described. Im not to clued up on the vaccines as i had mine many years ago but my granchildren have them but yes I believe the site may go warm and raise a little it should go within 24/48 hours. theres a lady called tess on here shes very good with medical things maybe she may pop up and be able to help. please dont google symptoms this is my pet hate as google will convince you of all sorts. can you ring up who ever gave you the vaccine and get some reassurance? Im 99 per cent sure things will be ok and its a normal reaction

I agree with Sue, internet and this forum are good up to a point. The first person you should talk to is the person who did the jabs to you, then your GP. Always talk to a professional and ask them questions, even if you feel stupid..that is their job!

Dont be afraid to see another doctor if you're not happy with yours too, second opinions are always reassuring..

I've been talking to Tess on && of actually! She's honestly such a sweetheart and I couldn't appreciate her help more. Alas my healh anxiey kicks in, though. Last vaccine I remember having any reaction to was the chicken pox one years ago! The past few months I've convinced myself I have some incurable disease or three different types of cancers, DVT, all things of that nature, and even though the wellness check was so minimal but apparently clear, I can't help but worry. (I don't even know what they can pick up on with simple tests like that!)

My mother has grown tired of dragging me to the doctor's office on a weekly/bi-weekly basis, because typically things show up clear. Really the worst thing that showed up before this reaction were two vitamin deficiencies which I've since been working on fixing. She was given a list of side-effects too, which I'm...not allowed to look at, as last time I read side effects to a medication my brain took hold and made them seem like they were physically there and I almost fainted from the severe panic attack (Nose was bleeding and all. Really bad.)

Everytime there's a tightness in my chest on the left side I convince myself it's my heart--whether it's a heart attack or blood clot or something. Mostly because my passed' father's side of the family all had heart problems and I winessed him pass first-hand. (A close friend of mine diagnosed with PTSD from what I've shared with her thinks I might have a mild case as well, considering those experiences and what's happened after.) It's honestly such a mess, now.

In good news though, the lump itself seems to have mainly disappeared! It's still a quarter-sized redness though, and hurts to push on. Three days now...great.
