In two minds of what to do thinking I have herpes. Need opinions!

Just needing a bit of advice to get my mindset where it should be and to stop dwelling on the could be.

About 1 month ago I noticed a single pimple at the base of my penis which I popped one night had some blood that came out which instantly turned into a red sore. This sore healed in about a week but turned into a ulcer like sore during the process which there was no pain associated with it. After healing there is a slight scar from where the sore was which I have attached a picture. I also had a similar pimple about 1.5 months before this one. I know the images don't provide much info but I didnt take any pictures at the time which I regret. I had a STD check which was clear the week after the sore healed but the doctor dismissed the mark as a scar as I think he was looking forward to going home.

I am in two minds. I haven't had any sexual encounters for just under 6 months now so after reading all the amazing info on this forum I know I can go get a blood test. Do I go get a blood test to ease my mind or should I not be worried until if another pimple pops up?

Do these scars resemble what a healed herpes sore looks like?

no healed herpes sores would not leave you like that. i have had a pimple on my penis just as you did and was in the same mind state as you. i went to three doctors and they all told me the same thing that i was fine and they were right. To this day i still have a little blemish/scar because of it. but it looked exactly like yours for a better part of a year. i used apple cider vinegar and that really cleared the scar up for me. id say i used it consistently on a qtip for awhile. now i would need a lot more information to help you out fully. and i can even give some advice on some other techniques i heard of to make it better just message me!

Thanks for the reply. That is reassuring that the similar symptoms that you had turned out to just be a pimple. I’m not so much worried about the scar at this stage as my mind is full of the "what if’s but thanks for the tip on the apple cider vinegar.

no problem. its not scientifically proven but as far as home remedies go the apple cider vinegar is recommended and talked about a lot online. just dont over do it youre putting a acidic compound on your genitals at the end of the day
