i had cataract surgery about 3 weeks ago (my second) and all went well. However my eye still feels gritty and i can see a red line next to my cornea where an incision was made. Does anyone know if this is normal?
I don’t recall seeing any incision. I took drops for the first three weeks and saw the optometrist at three weeks. I commented that my IOL eye felt a bit irritated at times, and they did one of those fluorescent dye things and an exam. She said everything looked fine, and then I got the dry eye lecture… I do use dry eye drops now occasionally. If you did not get an exam at 3 weeks, then you may want to arrange one, just to be sure everything is OK.
Thank you. My post-op appointment is not until mid November. I didn’t notice an incision after the first eye was done which is why I’m a bit concerned now.
