Inconclusive scan

Hi i was on here a few weeks ago with symptoms of an ovarian cyst. Dull aching in pelvic area like period pain. stabbing pains on right side into hip down into my groin. I went to the Dr he did an internal said he could feel something on my right ovary. I had a ca 125 test that came back normal. then i had a ultrasound scan external she said she could not find anything abnormal. I saw the consultant yesterday she said from the scan my kidneys bladder were all ok my right ovary was ok but my right ovary was inconclusive. i said what did that mean she said it could not be seen properly. Hmm. Now bearing in mind i had a hysterectomy for fibroids  2 yrs ago she then asked me when my last cervical smear test was. Told her i did not have a cervix !!!!! She then felt my tummy all ok she said, even tho my right side was sore when pushed on then an internal on my back then on my side. said she could not feel anything untoward. Just that i need a poo!

Get dressed and come and chat she said. The conclusion of all my pain which is making me have time of work at some points is according to her constipation. Now as far as i am aware i am not constipated infact recently have been going more and its looser than normal told her this but no i am constipated get some laxitive if the pain dont go then go back to gp. Grrr feel so fobbed off. Sorry for the rant but was wondering if this pain is what she says any idea anyone

Hi Cathy poor you!

I've had an ovarian cyst many years ago.

So I know the symptoms you are saying.

I would go back to your doctor or get a second opinion.

Something obviously is not right.

Bless you

My dr said he could feel something on my right ovary thats why he did my bloods wanted a scan and see the consultant. I really do not believe for one moment i am constipated that side of things has been a bit all over the place the last couple of weeks. But i used to get constipated when pregnant so know that feeling lol. Felt rather like a fraud yesterday. like she did not believe me. But yes i intend on seeing my gp again

You need an ultrasound, preferably an internal one, also known as transvaginal.

Called it wrong thing in previous comment so will report and get it removed
