Increase in Sertraline (to 100mg) SCARED

I've been on and off meds - I'm not very good at taking them regulalry. My doc up'd me from 50 to 100. Thing is I'm always really scared to change/increase meds due to the potential side effects. I did try 100mg once and felt really dizzy, headache, slight nausea..  Any advice?

That's the average dose.

Omg. I just was told by my Dr. Do not go above 50mg. He'd rather it was 25mg. Lord I'm med sensitive big time. 100mg would land me in Er and I'd kinda like to stay away from hospitals a while. If you've not been taking any then how can you Judy start at 100mg? That's high. Does he know?? You know your body, but I'd think 50mg few days see how you react then do what he suggested , if you get the affects again stay where your comfortable. This med makes me feel fearless. It agrees with me. Feels do good to feel normal again but try this and let us know I have a friend on this and she does the same thing but on purpose, she feels good a d she stops then her mouth gets her in big trouble. Quite sad. Then I avoid all contact until she takes it. She has a different diagnosis though. My other friend takes 25mg. And boy it helped immediately she's fearless. Meaning happy and no side affects. Very active. Good luck we all take on am.

I agree with UR accessments it takes time to adjust. Yet it helped me right away.

Hello😊 omg after my recent ER events, this the sertraline helped immediately In a way that the side affects I had disappeared, just a little lump throat. But oh what a blessing, wish I tried this med before.do you or anyone know if this works more on one part of the brain?

I'm not really good to answer that. UR doc would be best.
