Increased med does it take another 4 to 6 weeks to feel better

hi,
i increased my trintellix dose about 3 weeks ago. i have had 1 really good week and woke up today feeling really anxious and down. i thought that i would be a bit more stable by now considering that in total i have been on the meds for at least a month and a half first at 5 mg than 10 mg and now 15 mg. Just getting really discouraged and feeling like this suffering will never end.

hi Elizabeth, the medication that you are taking can take several weeks to work.This medication is also a ssri medication which means it will take several weeks ,who suggested that you increase this medication.Was it the doctor or did you decide to increase it

the doctor suggested…i just thought because i already had the lower dose in my system it would be quicker…so everytime u increase it takes another 4 to 6 weeks u are saying??

its still an ssri…and works like celexa

not all ssris are created equal.if they where there wouldn’t be a whole range of them.
