I started on 40mg of Fluoxetine at the beginning of April after an unsuccessful 6 months on Sertraline and before that an unsuccessful 12 months on Mirtazapine. I did have side effects for the first 8 weeks or so, but expected them after having taking Sertraline.
I started doing well after about 9-10 weeks and felt 95% normal again. This only lasted for 3-4 weeks before waking up 1 morning with those horrible feelings of dread and fear with no motivation whatsoever yet again. I put up with this for a few weeks before going back to see the doctor again on 30-Aug. He increased my dose from 40mg to 60mg. From the first day of taking them I felt good, though a little bit strange for a few days. This only lasted a week before going back down hill again and back to how I was. I also started getting minor side effects again, such as nausea and dizziness.
I have been on the increased dose now for just over 2 weeks. Even though I do feel slightly better today, I still feel like crap. Has anybody else had a similar experience when upping their dose?
