Hello all- after 8 years of being on 10mg of Paxil my doc increased my dose to 20- I was having breakthrough anxiety and depression on 10- well the day after I increased to 20 i felt so strange- I felt like I was buzzing and numb - it was the worst side effects I had ever felt - after 3 mos things seem to have settled a bit and I even have the occasional decent day without anxiety or thoughts of suicide - my question has this ever happened to anyone else after a dose increase?? I mean my Paxil took 2 weeks to work the first time I took it- this increase I had to wait 3 mos and the increase in side effects were insane this time! I'm wondering also if I need a new medication? Thanks to anyone willing to share their experience!
Hey!, I was on 10mg of parxil for 2 weeks, and was only just put up to 20 on Tuesday, and today I've get alittle stranger, the doctor told me sometimes when you up your dose you can have side effects for a few but they usually go away, hope this helps😊
Thanks Victoria - my issue is that they lasted for 3 mos! I just don't understand why it lasted for so long- very strange to me - I worry they medication may no longer be effective 
Maybe your best to contact your doctor, but am sure if they worked before maybe you'll another dose or something, I was told if this didn't work for me and I wanted to try another there is a few similar to these, I only really had a sore head and things for the first week, I still get them just not as bad, maybe they can change your dose or change them to something else😊, I don't really no many other medications for this as I was only on another one before that was like beta blockers, but it was a homeopathic one, it was all natural and I never had any side effects, but I didn't feel like it worked for me, because I was still anxious before it and after it, hope this helps
