I was diagnosed with overactive throid 11 months ago and since then i have taken carbimazole. i first started on 20mg and gradually have gone down to 5mg daily, about 4 months ago i started with reflux disease which has now improved through more medication.I now suffer with really bad pains and discomfort in my upper back every day and doesnt matter what i eat. i am wondering if this is related to taking carbimazole?. has anybody else experienced these symptoms?

I am suffering from nausea and acid reflux too. don't feel like eating at all.
I am on carbimazole. Keep wondering if it is causing it but the GP says it is a separate prob to my thyroid. Seeing a specialist on Mon - hope they can give advice.

Well I have been taking Carbimazole for a year and a half have put on 2 stone and have acid refulx and vommiting and yes it most certainly is carbimazole and I have painf from the middle of my chest to the middle of my back. :cry:
Hi all, I have been taking carbimazole for only a few months now and while I think I may have always had some sort of mild acid reflux problem, it is now so bad that it is keeping me up half the night! I have an almost constant pain/discomfort in the middle of my chest/back and I am hoping that when I see the doctor in a week or so that they can help.
