Anyone ever heard of or taken this medicine my dr prescribed me it for my anxiety to keep my heart rate down. My normal heart rate is around 60-65 I’m scared to take this medicene I looked it up and it scared me . I have had anxiety because I feel something is wrong with my heart and this sure didn’t help he says it should control my heart rate but I don’t want to take it
Your heart rate sounds perfectly normal. Do you get a racing heart a lot? I used to be on beta blockers and my heart rate was normally 70-80 and at night dropped to 45-60bpm whilst I was on the tablets. I was very anxious and they certainly helped me! If you’re unsure if you should be taking them maybe get a second opinion from another doctor. They may just help to calm you down
I’m just scared to take them . How old were you ? And what were the ones you took called. I just read they can cause heart problems and I’m already paranoid about my heart
I was on Pur bloka 40mg but can't find it any.oreso the doctor prescribed me Inderal 40mg also saying it will prtect my heart , but my problem is still I need to get them cuase the palpilations are bad when I'm acive , so I stay calm
It was only last year that I was on beta blockers. Yes they can cause heart problems but only if you already have one which you don’t. You will be absolutely fine and they might just be your saviour! I really don’t think you have anything to be afraid of, if you want to tackle this then start by listening to the doctors and take their advice. Good luck!
I will give it some thought I have had 6 ekg and 6 blood test 2 chest X-rays urine test ultrasound on liver and gallbladder and ct scan on stomach and all has been good thankfully . I did not start freaking out until I read on google about chest pain causes and then it all when to heck. I started getting lots of issues like stomach tenderness upper abdomen pain. Chest pain sharp tightness off and on and just general discomfort. And I have like I believe nerve pain cause my fingers will burn or my arms will burn near my bicep. Also get neck pain and upper back feels exhausted all the time I get nauseous a lot and freak out a lot. He also gave me oxazepam 10mg to take twice a day
