Infected scar?!

I'm now post op 11 days first day of actually feeling a bit like the old me..

Have had to make an urgent appointment with the nurse tomorrow as my scar is leaking some fluid and it's a bit stinky😢😢

Really hoping it's not infected could do without any setbacks.. My partner is hoping to take me out for a little picnic Wednesday lunchtime.

How is everybody else doing/feeling

I only had my op last Tues and I am still feeling great apart from getting my bowels working properly.I don't feel so bloated today.Very impressed that I could sleep on my side last night.Went out shopping to our local Tesco Express today.It was only 5mins by car and the store wasn't very big to walk around.I have walked around the house and garden quite a bit and helped with the lunch and tea.My staples are removed on Weds so I might feel a bit sore then.

I am 11 days post op and I definitely don't feel like my old self 

went out with my hubby today and actually felt sick in the car

really tired and bloated as not been to toilet

my docs was closed today so going tomorrow

my scar looks ok but a bit of bleeding out right side. This has been going on since I left the hospital. 

Everyone is different so I suppose we will all suffer these setbacks

You sound like your doing brilliantly... Wish I was feeling the same...

Hot flushes really raging now too

Have been sleeping on my side for last few nights which is better... do sleep with a pillow over my tummy though...

Did have my first proper dinner today fish chips & mushy peas... Yummy

My appetite has been normal since I came home.I had fish and chips Sat night.Sunday was a roast dinner with lamb shanks and today has been quiche,jacket potato and salad.No problem eating.I have stopped the alcohol  because of the tablets but then I normally have 1glass of wine a night.

My op was about 19 day's ago and i saw my surgeon yesterday, it was sort of bad news as he said they found cancer in my womb but it was a grade 1 meaning i don't require treatment only 3 monthly check ups. It is still frightening but i have to look on the bright side [NO TREATMENT]

I have also developed a urine infection which is painful but Hay HO things can only get better..

I saw my consultant three weeks after my op and he told me they'd found cancer when they operated on me but like you they removed it all and no further treatment needed just got to go back every four months for two years

Hi Diane

Im 5 days post op and feeling good, Not eaten properly yet just not hungry !!. My wound has no sitiches or staples they are all under the skin and will just dissolve what do you have ? If it is infected or it could be what you call a seroma which is fluid that collects at a wound becasue of the stitches/staples and it is your body reacting to a "forgien" substance. Try not to let it set you back a short course of antibiotics will put you right.
