Infected Tooth Or Sinus Problem?

Hey everyone. I've been having some bad fatigue, brain fog and headaches that feel like they're stemming from an upper left molar.

I had an X-Ray and it shows a swollen sinus right on top of the problem tooth.

Do you think this could be a tooth infection that is leaking into the sinus or just a sinus problem and nothing to do with the tooth.

Reason I ask is because my dentist seems to think that the tooth is fine and it's just a sinus issue.

But I think it's the tooth and the bacteria is leaking into the sinus.

He says that teeth can't cause sinus problems but I've read up on it and it seems that the root of teeth can get into the sinus.

I really feel like death at the moment so I'm desperate to get this sorted. The tooth doesn't hurt but I've had an abscessed tooth in the past that had zero pain so know that just because there's no pain doesn't mean there's no infection.

Hi there,

It’s tricky when you have sinus issues because it really feels like a tooth problem. I’ve spent years and years suffering from sinusitis every time I get a head cold............ and each time it feels like tooth ache, my area of pain is always in my left cheek area but some people have headaches with sinusitis and yes, you feel rough and definitely out of sorts. 

I would go to your GP and ask for antibiotics and a course of anti-nasal congestion tabs (possibly phenylephrine) 

See if he agrees with a diagnosis of sinusitis and is willing to give you the above meds ..........

I suffer from chronic sinisusitis and the above treatment works a treat.
