5 months ago i broke out in a rash on the head of my penis and my testicles burned and it burned when i urinated. The rash went away within a week but the head of my penis was inflamed in a few specific areas and there are lines on my skin coming from my urethra. My scrotum is still red and there are often discomforting feelings in the region like tingling, burning, and hyper sensitive. I have tested negative for chlamydia, ghonorea, hiv, hsv2, hep abc, and syphillis. It is not fungal as i have taken numerous prescription level anti fungals and still remained. Right now applying moisturizer and protopic for 2 months and still there...thaught maybe it is a dermatitis. I have been to multiple doctors with no real luck or confirmed diagnosis. Any help appreciated. Any ideas what this might be from my symptoms?
Hi Douglas, before I go into a more detailed response can I just check with you: have any of the medical professionals you have seen been skin specialists? That is, a Dermatologist - the best of these for you would be a Dermatologist specialising in Genital Skin Disorders?
If you have seen a dermatologist can you detail any medication you were given, that is, the names of the medication - and, how long you actually used each / any of them?
My general advice would be NOT to apply anything else to your genitals, other than the medication you have been prescribed. Stop using the moisturiser, and other than prescribed medication the only other thing that should be touching your genital skin is water - that is no soap or other forms of body wash such as shower gel.
