Good morning All I just want to talk with some of the men on here that are looking into procedures for your BPH. Not all procedures are the same and not all are for every man because we are all different and we all have different concerns. Now you guy's all know I have had a Urolift. It has been 3 1/2 years and I'm doing good. This was the procedure that I picked for myself. It is a procedure that can be done on a prostate 80 mg and under and have no side effects. It is the only one that is 100 % Retro Free I'm not a fan of any procedure that cuts away at the prostate. They have many side effects and some of them take a long time to heal for some men. Now sometimes men wait to long to have something done. You know your out there. It must be in our DNA. We all ways wait till the last minute or when it is to late for any less evasive procedure. But that is life and the way we are. I have a friend that lives in South Wales. Talk to him many times on the phone or the computer. He is 74 and he did not want to have any major surgery so he wanted to have the Urolift because he had to do something. Well after he went to see the doctor. It was to late for the Urolift. His prostate was over 125 and had to do something. He ask me about Green Light XPS. I did some research on it and even the doctor. He was very well like by his patients and I told him that if that is what you need go ahead. Well I just talk to him It has been 5 month's and all is in working order. He has no problems at all. He even told me that he is off all meds and has his sex life back. Which was a surprise. Why I am telling you this is because we all talk about when something fails but never here a lot about the good things. It is good to research the procedure but it is also a good Idea to research the doctor and if you can talk with some of the patient and read the reviews. That is even better. With any procedure you have a good doctor will give you the best out come.Well this is enough for now. Remember do not wait and do not rush into a procedure. If you have question ask the doctor and if he can't find the time.Find one that will. I wish you all good health and a Happy Holiday..............................Ken
My Prostate was 130mg and causing me to get up 5 or more times per night, Once PAE was approved for NHS treatment in the UK, I looked around for a doctor who had done it enough times for me to be reasonably sure it would work for me. I had it done in June 2018 - a 2 hour procedure. It has worked. Down to 1 or 2 risings now in the night. Check in August showed prostate now 100 mg and likely to continue to fall
Alan That is good for you
Like I say you have to do all the research for the procedure that you are going to have. I know in the US there is a Dr. B that have done a lot of them
Yes it should go down more in time.
Have a good day…Ken
