I went to an OB/Gyn a couple of weeks ago for a possible bv or infection and they obviously asked if there were any sores and at the time I didn’t notice anything. They did the normal procedures and sent me home. Today I noticed a little bump and me being me, I am panicking. I’m not sure if it’s been there and I never noticed it or if it’s an ingrown hair since I shaved a couple of days ago or if it is herpes. The bump is about 1 cm away from the side of the labia majora. It doesn’t hurt when I touch it and there is only one. I plan on making another appointment just in case, but it probably will be a month away. I’ve just become sexually active a few months ago with my fiancé and he is the only person I’ve ever been with. I’ve had ingrown hairs or little bumps before, but I never cared because I wasn’t active, now that I’m active I’m a bit paranoid. I’ve had what I believe was a cold sore on my lip twice as a child, but it was so long ago I never even thought about it and even forgot about it until I read about cold sores being herpes a few days ago, now I’m scared.
