inguinal hernia surgery laparoscopic with mesh l nov 30th

i have admittedly, overdone it after my inguinal surgery just under 3 weeks ago. i am a  basketball officiate and went back to work part time too early( days after surgery) . i also pushed snow too early once. i have discomfort and  fluid build up where the hernia was. if i tore or did damage to the mesh, i would imagine the pain would be very bad. in short, i feel like an idiot for thinking i could be "normal" as quickly as  i did. my question is, does it seem like i am in the clear if i just take it easy and stop with the activity that i have done?

Hiya, just to be safe and to stop you of being worrying ; I think you should get it checked; you will be fine. Best wishes, Merry Christmas.

Only time will tell. But mesh failure is common. you really didnt have to do much at all. I am a construction worker, and mice came back after a year of healing, I went back to work and the mesh FAILED! its that simple.

When did you have your surgery?

Get it checked if your worried and if ok take it easy for a bit. I had 2 weeks off work after op and then took it easy for 6 weeks with various healing aches and pains. Nearly 3 months now and almost back to 100% but not quite yet.

Thanks, had an ultrasound done today. Meeting with physician Assistant on friday about results. I'm hoping I just have to restart the 6 weeks of rest again. And that I didn't screw up the mesh healing properly into the tissue.
