Hi, if someone can shed some light on this would be very appreciated. I have never had genital herpes that I know of, although my husband is monogamous as I am and he may have spread it to me when he went south on me and he has had cold sores. The only thing I have ever had was said to be shingles a single blister on buttocks that went away everytime using L Lysine after a couple days. So this is all new to me and am taking Valacyclovir 1gram and is helping, however now I have an itchy red rash (no blisters) along inside thigh and the other day it spread to the other thigh. Would this be a side effect of the Valacyclovir? I am stuck on a snow covered ridge and can't get to a doctor for a few days. Thank you to anyone who reads this or also who can please reply.
