i had a benign submandibular gland which removed but one year later i feel i swelling at the same point...

hopefully it isnt anything serious, yet it is important u get it checked out.

I have the same symptoms - it feels sore and I think it feels swollen. Did you see your ENT specialist? I don't want to waste anyone's time if its nothing.
