I am 19, soon to be 20. Over many years I've been living with fear of having any serious illness, this last year was the worst! I've been having symptoms that last for months then only to be replaced with something else. I had difficulty talking correctly even though I talked correctly, had a tongue symptom which sent me into many panic attacks, it was feeling like I had burnt it with a hot coffee but I had not, always triggered my throat, felt like my tongue will strike my airways every moment. Then I had difficulty sleeping, whenever I was laying down to sleep I would get weird sensations/numbness around my chest throat head, then a month ago I had weird sensations on the left side upon moving my body, even the eyes, it was so weird, almost impossible to explain! Now that all of those are gone I am dealing with rapid heartbeat, mostly during the day, heart is 100 - 125 bpm constantly! It's been a while that it's like this. I am afraid of having a heart attack every moment of my life! Had way too many tests done, many Complete blood counts, 10+ EKGs, 3 echo's, X-rays of neck and back. CT of head, urine tests, hearing tests, ENT visits, had seen 3 different neurologists, only to be told that I am healthy. The last week I decided to go to a private cardiologist, it cost me lots of cash but I went through many tests on course of 3 days, first day it was EKG and ECHO, second day it was 24h monitoring, then the last was the stress test. So he cleared out everything, and told me that he knew that this was not a cardiovascular issue but he wanted to convince me. After all of those I am still living under the fear of falling short to a heart attack, I am not able to enjoy anything at all! It's so bad that it gets me nauseous, it beats harder when I eat or smoke I think. Why cannot they find anything and just tell me how to treat this??? I fail to understand and I fail to believe that fear could have done all of this! I feel so helpless and alone, none understands! My childhood hero Chester Beninngton commited suicide, days ago, made me feel suicidal as well And to end this, I visited a psychotherapist 2 weeks ago and since then I am taking Sertraline 50mg, and xanax 0.25 twice daily. I was not as concerned about my heart 2 weeks ago because I was going through a different symptom, could that be a med side effect?
It is definitely anxiety, ive been through the exact samething, one symptom after the other, drs, ER test, X-rays and nothing. Im currently dealing with difficulty taking a deep breath. I sometimes cant feel my breath or at least thats the sensation. Anxiety is a horrible mind game that will get you if you let it. Im not taking meds, i refuse. I quit caffeine and sugar to ease on the palpitations. I exercise, do yoga and meditation. I am seeing a therapist, getting physical therapy for my neck and back and also doing accupuncture. Its a one day at a time kind of deal but it works. You must learn how to control your breathing in order to control panic attacks. Yoga has helped me a great deal! Hang in there, i know it seems like youre dying, trust me everyday is a struggle but you gotta control it and not let it control you.
You are overcome with anxiety and fear.
Your symptoms are a result of adrenaline your heart is sending out in response to your anxiety.
The tests your doctor did shows you are healthy.
They cannot find anything because you don't have anything wrong with your health.
You have anxiety and doctors can only treat that with medication and advise counseling.
I do understand. I have had anxiety since grade school and it was unbearable!
All those years though high school, college, adulthood with anxiety, fear, depression!
YES, FEAR AND NEGATIVE THOUGHTS CAUSED MY ANXIETY AND SYMPTOMS.
BELIEVE ME, WHEN THE BRAIN IS BOMBARDED WITH ANXIETY OVER A LONG TIME, IT CAN ONLY TAKE SO MUCH BEFORE IT HAS A BREAKDOWN LIKE I Had.
THATS WHEN ALL MY SYMPTOMS BEGAN IN MY TWENTIES.
But Remember, ANY SYMPTOM related to anxiety cannot hurt you such as Rapid heart rate cannot cause a heart attack. They feel weird and scary but that's all they can do.
You must calm down the brain to get rid of anxiety symptoms. When you react with anxiety when you get symptoms, it makes everything worse.
LISTEN TO GUIDED MEDITATIONS ON YOU TUBE FOR ANXIETY. THEY COMPLETELY CALM DOWN MY MIND AND BODY AND SYMPTOMS.

Hi there 🙂
I've read this time and time again. And I've I've been the same!! I can assure you
I've felt like you had the tests. I was convinced this was something heart related but no it's Aniexty!!
you've had all the test done and even gone private and you've the all clear. Thats a massive positive!! that something isn't bad with your heart!
Anxiety is cruel it feeds on itself. So if your Anxious and your heart races and believe me that it can really race. You think about it more so races more. I get this I shake I sweat I stutter also. . At one point I thought " this isn't just Anxiety" but it was well is.
so I tried to work out what heightens my anxiety.
I know its hard but if you know what's causing it at a particularl moment. Try to take a moment breath through your mouth Longer out than IN.
try to live n the moment that minute that hour day etc.
Believe me there are many symptoms of Aniexty when you have a really bad time there can be so many.
like you it is hard to believe Aniexty can cause all these thoughts feelings and have the phisical effects to they can be very overwhelming.
you are young.. maybe speak to your dr see if they have any suggestions the sooner you can address this the better. The better for you.
Please know there are many forms of therapy that can help to find out why this is happening and may have some medication that could help you.
im 40 now.. I see it and feel it coming I try to get one over on it if I can try to rashonise in my head what's normal what's the anxiety for... most times nothing or a massive thing. I cope with it better. But it's took me along time to seek help the help I needed.
keep gong with the meds and yes they too can have side effects by they should subside once you are stable on them.
good luck
I hope you go on ok.

Hi Helllife I totally understand what you are going through. I suffered myself with chronic panic attacks for years after i went through a tramatic experience. Do stay strong I know how hard it can be believe me. Some of the suggestions on here are great. What worked for me the most was meditation, yoga, clean healthy diet, breathwork and cutting out coffee as this really made it worse! So there are plenty of books out there, I read a lot of them, essential oils work great also. Check out this report on top essential oils to alleviate anxiety and panic attacks. They worked wonders for me. .
Best of luck and reach out if you need futher information on anything
